Park Ji-yeon( Korean :박지연; born June 7, 1993), better known as simplyJiyeon, is a South Korean singer and actress. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group T-ara and for appearing on several television shows.

T-ara Jiyeon's brother Park Hyo Joon models for No Hong Chul
T-ara’s Jiyeon was revealed to have a brother named Park Hyo Joon. His fame shot skyward after netizens discovered his modelling shots from No Hong Chul’s internet men’s clothing store, ‘NoHongChul.com‘. At the time, comments pointed out the similarity of this model’s eyes to Jiyeon’s. After a photo of the sibling that was posted on Jiyeon's Twitter, people discovered that Park Hyo Joon was actually Jiyeon's brother afterall. The picture brough alot of attention from the fans and netizens, and the two were subsequently labeled as the 'superior siblings'. Park Hyo Joon stands at 180cm (5′11″), has immaculate skin, and is very fashionable. He basically meets every criteria there is of being the ultimate ‘flower boy’. As an aspiring actor and model, he confessed, “I used to get a bit depressed when I was addressed as Jiyeon’s brother more than as model Park Hyo Joon,” but added, “However, right now, I want what’s best for both my sister and I. I’m striving to participate in different activities and grow as not just a model, but as a singer as well“. Park Ji Yeon Biography
Early life
Park was born in Seoul, South Korea.Park briefly attended Seoul Arts High School and Hyehwa Girls' High School. She was later quoted as confessing that while enrolled, she took courses erratically and often skipped class; eventually, she "gave up a normal high school life" although "misses being a high school girl sometimes" and forsook attending university due to her busy acting schedule and career.
Career
Early work
Park has expressed an interest in modeling. In 2008, when she was 15 years old, Park was featured in several pictorials and advertisements for SMART with Korean boy band SHINee .
Park collaborated with Davichi and SeeYa on the digital single "Female Generation/Forever Love", which was released in June 2009, making her the first publicly-announced member of T-ara. She appeared in SG Wannabe 's music videos "Saranghae" and "My Love is Crying" from their 2009 album,Gift From SG WANNABE.
T-ara
In 2009, she entered the Smart Model Contest. Soon after winning, she auditioned at the Mnet Casting System and joined the company. T-ara debuted on July 28, 2009, when Park was 16 years old. She was the youngest member of the group.
Acting
Park made an appearance on the highly-ranked KBS television showMaster of Studyas Na Hyun Jung, a heavily burdened love-struck high school girl who joins a special class consisting of five under-performing students who share the goal of being accepted to the fictional Cheonha National University (Chunha Dae).
She also appeared in the filmDeath Bell 2: Bloody Camp, released in July 2010.
