Michelle Williams Almost Quit Acting After Heath Ledger's Death

Michelle Williams looks stunning on the February cover of GQ, still riding that Marilyn Monroe train to sexytown. Or something like that. She looks good, is what I’m trying to say. In the mag, Williams talks about how “being sexy” isn’t part of her typical role, and she also discusses a much darker time: Heath Ledger’s death. “It was horrible,” Williams said of having to return to work right after finding out her friend and child’s father had passed away. “I don’t remember most of it.” Michelle added that once her work was completed (Mammoth and Shutter Island), she wondered if she should just stop working. “That seemed like a really smart idea,” Williams said. When asked whether she thought she and Heath would ever have gotten back together, Williams began crying in the interview, saying that question made her “too sad to answer.” “No…I said it would make me too sad to answer, but it’s also…It’s actually one of my favorite places to visit.” Williams also talked about her first meeting with Ledger: “Our initial meeting, the circumstances of how we first met, were cosmic or something.
