Yu Oh-Seong Clarifies Various Rumors About Himself in 'Win Win'

On the episode of KBS 2TV‘s "Win Win" that aired on Aug. 16, actor Yu Oh-Seong appeared and revealed his true feelings about his image, attracting attention from the viewers. When the MC asked him if he knew about his "horrible image," he replied, "When I type in search words on a search engine on the Internet, there appears such bad stories as 'Yu Oh-seong assaults,' 'Yu Oh-seong is a bully,' or Yu Oh-seong beats his wife.'" He said, "Then I joked to my wife, saying, 'Nobody is stronger than me in terms of relevant search words.'" He added that he knew well about his images shown to people. However, he denied rumors about any assaults, saying, "I think men who threaten children and women are top notch idiots. I could not find out the origin of the rumor that I beat my wife." About the other alleged assault cases, he said, "Some are true, but many are overstated. If they were true, I could not be here." He than talked about a lawsuit he filed against a violation of his portrait rights and exploitation of his image in a movie he appeared in by an apparel advertising agency. According to him, the apparel-making firm failed to keep faith with him and enforce the use of his portrait to promote the movie. So he entered into a long court battle.
