Toshiyuki Nishida(西田 敏行Nishida Toshiyuki, born 4 November 1947 in Fukushima prefecture)is a Japanese actor . Outside of Japan, Nishida is best known for his portrayal of Pigsy in the TV seriesMonkey.Toshiyuki Nishida has received ten Japanese Academy Award nominations, winning twice, forDun-Huangin 1988 (Best Actor) andGakkoandTsuribaka Nisshi 6in 1993 (Best Actor).He won the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Actor in 2003 forGet Up!andTsuribaka Nisshi 14 .In Japan he is best known for his fishing comedy series, known asTsuribaka Nisshi (釣りバカ日誌)(English literal translation: "The Fishing Maniac's Diary"), which currently spans 21 movies.
